Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Alejo studied Filmmaking at the Universidad del Cine (FUC) and Philosophy at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA).
He was selected for Buenos Aires Talents in 2015 and for the Berlinale Talents in 2016.
He works as editor in film and advertising.
He edited many feature films. Mostly documentaries, where he has a strong background. Since 2018 he also work with fiction.
In advertising he cut near 200 ads, working with international leading brands such as Coca Cola, Ford, Jeep, Samsung, Sprite and Volkswagen.
In 2013 he directed his first short film: Matar a un perro/Killing a dog. The film was selected at Festival des Films du Monde in Montreal, International Film Festival of Mar del Plata, BAFICI, Sehsüchte, Fresh Film Fest, among 25 other festivals and it won several awards.
Weltende was his second short film, premiered in BAFICI 2017 main competition and exhibit in different festivals.
His third short film is called Son, a sci-fi story that shows the relationship between a father and a son, was premiered at the
International Film Festival of Mar del Plata and until now it was
screened in more than 10 festivals in UK, Brazil, Colombia and Spain.
