ALEJO SANTOS
ABOUT
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Alejo studied Filmmaking at the Universidad del Cine (FUC) and Philosophy at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA). He was selected for Buenos Aires Talents in 2015 and Berlinale Talents in 2016. Throughout his career, he has been awarded grants, including the Fondo Nacional de las Artes and Bienal Arte Joven.
Alejo works as an editor on feature films, specializing in both fiction and documentaries. His credits include a variety of works in Argentina but also co-productions and abroad, with films such as El Santo, Rebellion, Where Is My Daughter?, Boni Bonita, The Kaiser of Atlantis, and Pianist Street.
Since 2021, Alejo has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Argentine Society of Film Editors (SAE), and since 2023, he has also been part of the board of TEMPO, a global federation connecting associations of film editors from around the world.
In advertising, Alejo has edited over 300 commercials for leading international brands, including Coca-Cola, Ford, Jeep, Samsung, Sprite, and Volkswagen. After being represented internationally and in the US by several editorials, in 2022 he co-founded Most Valuable Players Editorial, the first and most exclusive editorial in Latin America.
